Solent - Saturday 28th July 2007

Okay Osprey dudes heres another chance to ruffle some RIBCRAFT feathers.

I know its hard to judge what the weather is going to be doing next Saturday but I'd like to post a speculative thread to see if any one will be out and about in the Solent area on Saturday 28th July 2007.

Nick R.

We should be out but I have to drive to Hayling Island first to collect some more oil, so not sure on timings yet.
Would hope to be down by Calshot at around 11 though.

weather still looking good for tomorrow, so we will be out playing.

Should be at Calshot 1030ish, 1100 latest.

May head over to Pompey then go a little further East as have not explored that way yet.

Anyone else out?

Managed to get out although the weather is poor. But it wasn't raining at least.

Just a few pictures from today. A couple Neil and Karen and one of the Queen Mary 2 that is berthed in Southampton at the moment.

I saw Neil and Karen - but I didnt know they were "Neil and Karen" or I would have waved. (saw them between Ocean Village and Shamrock Quay).

Many Thanks to Lucky Ribster for todays trip.

I forgot what it was like to be on a 4 meter RIB. Losts of grim hanging on and getting very wet, Which brought on copious amounts of childish giggling.
And he must learn to warn me before he puts the throttle fully forward.
It was good to just be out on the water so once again thanks.

Below is the only photo I got of him filling his tank up.

Spot the precious OIL. £35 a bottle those 2 stroke chaps are paying. But he did tell me it lasts all year.
