Just to say that we would like to participate in this group too. Is there a subscription list, or is it just a matter of watching the forum for news of cruises & events? Thanks. Harry

Few bits coming up.........

Cowes week fire works - August 4th , Red arrows at 7.30pm and then the fireworks about 9.30

Cowes Powerboat Festival - Sunday August 27th

Bournemouth air show - August 31st - 3rd Sept, theres an air show every afternoon - we normally pick the day with the best forecast, will probably go into Poole and have a late breakfast before the show

Oh, theres also a few boats/RIBs circumnavigating the Island the 29th July, sure theres room for a few more craft

Cheers

Lee

I'm planning a trip to Thorness Bay this Friday, weather and tide looking good for a beach landing. High tide 12.24, weather 24 dec although wind direction not so good for beach as mainly westerly. Rustic beach great for fires, bbqs etc..

Also great for learning beaching skills and holding offshore with anchor, moving boat over shallow reef when tide going out.

Fireworks and red arrows at Cowes tomorrow evening, will be out on the water, not sure if we're ribbing or larger hard boat - weathers looking quite windy........ either way always a great evening

We sailed into Newtown on our yacht maybe 15:00sh, and saw you enjoying the afternoon from your dining table with a view on the spit! Grey Mist looks lovely.

A wonderful quiet night here, and only just heading off now.

the best place in the Solent for a BBQ. sadly this was our first and probably last this year

If we had a cabin then for sure would have stayed the night as well. A perfect ribbing weekend but not quite a T-Shirt day not even today but very close to it
