Solent - Sunday 30 December 2007

Matt and I are thinking of heading down to the solent this Sunday for a blast over to the IOW and perhaps lunch at the Folly.

Anyone else planning to be out.

Weathers looking good at the moment

Chris

hmmm...
will have to findd out if I can have the boat craned in or not... Drivers are kind of closed and wanted pre-booking for launches

If she can be craned in, I might change the flights again and go back to work Monday.. will keep an eye on thread and ask some questions tomorrow... the forecast was looking promising a couple of days ago for Sunday... but it might be quite churned up from the proceeding days

where are you likely to launch from?

well, flights are changed and launch is booked for tomorrow, so I now have to go out whatever happens, unless the forecast chages dramatically by tomorrow and I have time to cancel the launch...

so looking forward to some good weather and a good run to blow the cobwebs away!

Andy,

If you're still planning on launching ap Pompey @ 1130, how about a 1200 RV by the lightship? I should be able to get there for then.

We can then see what everyone else is up to and work out twhere to go.

Otherwise, open to suggestions. Are Matt and Chris still out to lay?

Cheers

Neil

how about Ch 77 as per normal

Matt, I will be coming down Southampton water at some point, so should see you about.

Low tide at Calshot is 0844 and high is 1508, so tide will be coming in for most of playtime.

Andy, since Chris and Matt are launching in Southampton Water, I won't plan to meet you at lightship, but will try and meet up with Matt and Chris in the morning, and see where we go from there.

Guess lunch at Folly or somewhere would be good.

See you all tomorrow.

I won't be doing the Needles tommorow, as I'm going around the Island on Wednesday.
