Hiya Phil

I'm trying to put together a post that makes some sort of sense for the thread and I'm struggling I can still hear the Jolly Sailor engine xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx in all its different moods and keys. That engine was one of our best friends the last few days.

I'd better shut up for a minnit cos I have too much to say

Missus

Thought I heard Renegade requesting permission to cross from Gunwharf to Ballast yesterday whilst on patrol. Couldn't place the name quick enough tho' otherwise we could have tested the blue lights and said hello.

Thats OK. Do you remember waving back when I waved to you about 9:30?
QHM did not seen too pleased when I requested permision twice, because I did not hear his first reply.
I did 2 crossings each way to Gunwharf, and got "permision denied" once, luckily I heard him that time.

We get waved at by so many - some with the whole hand and the odd one or two with the single finger.

You probably caught the operator at coffee time. Your radio transmissions were rather fuzzy though - loose connection or too close to the mike perhaps.

Just as well. Having punters run down by the big ferries causes us an awful lot of paperwork.
