Hi Neil (and Dave)
Pam and I are intending to be out as well - any plans for lunch?

PMs received. Mrs A is exhibiting at Wedding Fayre and Scurvy Crew is working, but I'm around. Can probably find my way to the Solent; but with a full moon on Tuesday, won't be able to get back into the marina between 2.30 and 5.00 pm. Given that, Newtown and Wootton Creeks are also wrong for the tides on Sunday but Cowes, Folly or Yarmouth are non-tidal and good for a (lateish) lunch. Any thoughts?

My guess says, getting to SDS about 1030, will probably see us leaving about 1130, and at Yarmouth for about 1300 if all goes smoothly. If that fits your definition of a late lunch?

PS
Can't speak for Trev though, and as I only had about 3 hours of sleep, not sure yet if i am coming.
Think I'll walk the dog and see how I feel on the road. Can always turn round and abandon plans.

Ok, so even after coffee, my current state of sleepiness and slow brain is not conducive to a min of 2 hr each way drive. I'd rather bow out, live to see another day, and not risk killing someone in the process of coming down.
Thanks to both of you anyway, and enjoy your day.
Damn insomnia!

Given that Neil's now not coming .... How about the Folly?
We've not been there for a while. It'll mean we can have a not so late lunch and you will get back a bit later.
Otherwise Yarmouth would be good, or Lymington as we've not been there recently either.

Folly sounds good if the fog lifts. How about 12.00 off Cowes?

Have a look at the red funnel webcam for live Solent pics, handy for quick checks as it is fitted to the revamped red falcon ferry
