Solent X-mas Bash
Yes I know it’s a bit early to be thinking about it, but I’ve managed to book one of the last available evenings near Christmas when The Restaurant can fit a bunch of us in.
By popular demand we are back to:-
THE LIGHTSHIP in Haslar Marina
On FRIDAY THE 12th DECEMBER.
It’s worth pointing out at this stage that everybody who attended last year really enjoyed it, and the food was excellent.
As usual there will be awards for those who have distinguished themselves in one way or another, which will be hard this year, as because of the weather the Solent ‘Crew’ have been very quiet.
I will be receiving a menu soon, and the price will be similar to last year, ie under £30 a head.
like last year we will have our own separate room up in the Bow of the boat.
I’ve provisionally booked it for 30 people, but there is movement on this depending on how many show an interest.
All I need at this stage is to know roughly how many are coming, I’ll start thinking about deposits etc in a couple of weeks.
Nasher.

Andy, we have this in common, married for 26 years (since last Thursday) been together 29 years, we have owed 7 boats and she hasn´t been out on any of them and new one coming along this winter
Barely can get her out to the marina.
The kids (if we can call them kids anymore) however loves boating

Pete and Viv added to the list
Plus Sir and Lady Halliday dispatched a valet to confirm their attendance at the festivities
I feel a spreadsheet coming on.
Names, menu choices, deposits, etc etc.
I'll be in my element, and will be able to break the day up at work with it
No, even better, I'll 'Project' it.

No problem Tim, all added to the list.
'Intotheblue' is also there, and I've added his new South African Lady Friend just in case. (Sorry - Solent based joke based on experiances at Church Monday evening.)

I'll make sure my people talk to your people.
Prinz 2 is sooo last year, we've discovered a new project methodoligy based on Zen budism that I'm going to become a consultant for.
I'm sure that in a years time it will be going really well.
Nos
Sorry, forgot to mention you are there too.
