Solo cruise to Littlehampton

Saturday was a good day so a blast to Littlehampton via the Looe Channel was called for.

here is a short ( 4 min ) clip from my GoPro. Enjoy

The sea conditions were great and allowed me to maintain a good cruising speed of 32/34 knots

Looks like a fantastic day out ! I was moving house otherwise would have been out there with you. Weather for this weekend not looking nearly so benign... :-(

Grey Mist is now back at Southampton Dry Stack

I left Littlehampton at 11:15 and arrived to the SDS at 1:30. In total 41.4Nm

According to my Vessel Viewer
Average speed 17.8 knots
max speed 38 knots
Fuel used 59.9 ltr

I had my GoPro on so will tomorrow do some editing

The passage was OK up to the entrance of the Looe channel where my speed dropped to 10 knots . A head on wind all the time but my console gives me a very good shelter as you do not even feel the wind. As usual a rather lumpy crossing . Once I got to the forts my speed increased to 30 knots + all the way to the Southampton VTS

Sunshine all the way.

This is the first of two GoPro clips. This short one was taken as I just entered the Solent and the sea conditions allowed more speed
