Forecast is looking gloomy
http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=1187
Not that it'll make a lot of difference to me if the water's coming from below or above

I'm more worried about the wind than anything and that doesn't look too bad.
This is my forecast for Poole. But I wouldn't stand by it yet as it will change.
12:00hrs 14 °c Max 0.5 mm Rain 100 % Cloud Cover 9 mph winds from South West.

That sounds better than the BBC forecast.
BTW, the BBC are usually wrong for Poole-don't ask me why but I've only had it rain once in the last 2 years when it's said overcast/light rain on their website.

Looking at the Met Office surface pressure chart forecasts I think the BBC 5day looks fairly plausible. For the end of October F4 winds and light rain looks pretty good considering the weather that’s around at the moment. We're also on neaps so any wind against tide situations will be minimal.
Inshore Waters Outlook for following 3 days
Strong winds at times around Scotland, but with high pressure over the continent, generally light winds around England and Wales. Rain at times.

I'm afraid I don't think I'll be able to make it either I'm taking some photos at white air too (see you there tim and maybe ben?) and my tow car broke down on me this morning, plus the tides are all wrong to launch, plus my fuel money is now being spent repairing my car
Thanks for the organisation nick, hope you all have a blinder of a trip. If I'm about in yarmouth at 11 on sat, I may pop down to take some pics.

Weather forecast is continually changing. Worst winds I've seen forecast was yesterday for saturday at 17 mph with a storm blowing in late Saturday night.
Now the storm has disapeared and the wind forecasts are about 11 mph for the whole weekend.
Looking good.

All right for some
It's lovely out there this evening. Hope you have a good cruise. Would have loved to have come but I have a prior engagement this weekend.

All the forecasts that I can see are suggesting that Sunday will be a better day than Saturday, especially for wind

A more detailed list of Waypoints will follow as the plan expands.
I can plan a route from yarmouth to Poole but this will be done straight from mapsource and I have no knowledge of the best route to take so would appreciate it if some one else could supply those waypoints.
An estimate of distance from Cowes RV to the top of Poole Harbour is 30 Nautical Miles one way. I should be able to do this on one tank but I will be carrying 25 litres spare in plastic fuel cans that I will start to put in at Yarmouth and finish whats left over at Poole. Just so I don't have to pay marina prices.
I don't envisage any major stops on route because it will take us long enough to get to Poole and the nights are drawing in so we have to be aware what time sunset is.
Participants so far are :- (Anybody is welcome though )

Pressman
Slimtim
BenC
Neil Harvey ?
The Edges

Nauti Buoy ?

Nos4r2 has suggested a blast out to Swanage but I think we might be a bit restricted on time if we are going to eat at Poole. Maybe something for the crews launching nearer to Poole to occupy themselves whilst the rest of us get to Poole.
As usual this is a casual cruise; skippers are responsible for their boats and the people on them – RIBnet nor I can not be held responsible for anything that happens. Obviously we will all keep a good look out for each other, and it should be a great day out.

Guys

I'm still up for it but will be solo (so plenty of spare seats if anyone needs a ride).
Looks like we'll be against the tide both ways but at least we should be with the wind on the return trip.
