I think unless it really is going to be very unpleasant (ie strong winds or torrential rain) that I will still be coming up to RIBEX.

Just might mean I spend a bit less time out on the water and a bit more time in the pub.

Weather predictions are updated in the morning - I'm really hoping they are wrong - I've been looking forward to this trip for a very long time.

These long range forecasts really are amusing.
Todays prediction is a totally different story from yesterdays.

Yeah, we think it's something to do with spending to much time in the sea and pollution. I've gone completely,Roy has a cracking set of tits coming on, Kernow's hair has gone a bit funny and I'm sure that Randski had a bit of a mince going on down at Mylor last weekend!

Very true, I should have looked back a few pages! Good luck with the weather for the round the island trip. We might tag along if that is OK.

Weather forecasts now coming from Metchecks GFS predictions so much more chance of being accurate now.

Looks like at least the Saturday and Sunday are going to be mainly dry.

Weather is going to be warm and winds light so I think having to put up with a few showers isn't too bad...

BOLLOX !!!

My crew for this trip has just pulled out at the last minute...

Looks like it will be just me and the kids... South West Ribsters turned out to be just me and 2 kids...

This means I cant be doing any wakeboarding unless I can find a COMPETENT boat driver to join me.

It also means I wont be getting any joy rides on the Bananashark Race RIB as no one to look after the kids.

My plan for the trip will now be as follows due to the weather.

Friday Afternoon : Arrive at Drivers Wharf then launch. Inflatable towing and wakeboarding (if I can find any volunteers) and a beach BBQ at either Yarmouth or Priory Bay If any one else is having a BBQ now is the last chance on RIBnet to organise it so we have one together.

Saturday : RIBEX (might as well put up with the showers at the exhibition)

Sunday : Round the Isle of Wight (look i spelt it right) as this seems the best day - dryish with light southerlies. Another beach BBQ might be a good idea Sunday as well.

Monday : play around in the Solent and then recover and head home.

I'm now on the Island - thanks to Stuart for the assistance launching, I couldn't have done it without your help I owe you a big favour.

Does any one know what caught fire on the IOW tonight - I've never seen so many fire engines - must have been serious - I hope it wasn't the marina
