Hi
Just been looking at the weather and the wind is due to drop on Saturday also with Sunshine So I am keen however this will be the first time I’ve tried the outboard out since it jammed in gear, so I might have to ask for tow
Not sure if I am going to stay over now as I’ve got a BBQ to go to on Sunday and a live band party in the evening.
Tides for Falmouth in GMT
Time Type Height (metres)
0421 Low 1.8
1005 High 4.4
1644 Low 2.0
2221 High 4.2
I have already contacted Mylor Harbour:
"Launching here is free. Car parking is £4 per day, £21 per week; trailer is £2.50 per day and £10.50 per week. Overnight for a RIB is £16.78 and can be arranged when you arrive. The bank holiday weekend is fine."
Shaggy

A tow is no problem shaggy.
I also have a previous BBQ engagement on Sunday, so would prefer Saturday or Monday please.

Blimey! I thought that you Rib boys were hardcore, It's all go until a bit of beer and a bbq gets in the way!! :-). Actually I'm getting dragged to some old friend of the missus' 40th on Sat eve. I'm up for Saturday with an earlyish start though. I hope Ireland's not as blown out as it has been here lately Shag.

That’s a blow Alex; I was looking forward to meeting you and Silver Fern at last... Give ur manager a slap with a wet fish for me..
Chris I was hoping to leave Hayle at 09:00 so should be in Mylor around 10:00 on the water by 11:00 is this too late for you?
I can leave earlier if needed, as you will need to give me a tow now Alex can’t make it
Cant make Monday Hanna going to Newlyn Fish Festival

Hi Chris
Unfortunately I still have outboard problems I tested it this morning and the throttle is still sticking, I am taking the RiB back to Robin Curnow this morning so they can look at it next week, I am afraid I have to cancel today’s trip
Sorry hopefully we can rearrange for another weekend, once I get the outboard sorted.
A very depressed Shaggy

That's fine Shaggy. Esther was looking at the weather with a less than enthusiastic look on her face. It would be good to sort something before the end of the summer. Maybe Roy will have sorted out an egg-whisk to go on the back of his dinghy by then :-)
Not wishing to diss Robin Curnow (I'm a Penryn boy), They couldn't look at my opti for two weeks. I dragged it up to Rock Marine Services who are authorised Opti dealers. All done the next day, well efficient and trusted me to put the bill in the post. Not received it yet, so watch this space.

Back from Ireland managed to squeeze in a great day meeting the chaps from Redbay, very professional and friendly bunch up there.
Getting my Rib back from the docs tomorrow apparently the fuel line was pressing down on the throttle cable etc causing it too stick..
Well I guess Ill find out tomorrow is anyone around to give me a tow
Shaggy
