St Malo at the end of October
There is still time to take part in some top notch cruising before thinking about the winter months and Christmas !!!
The plan is to head down to St Malo and then up the Rance to Dinan at the end of October.
A few years ago 10 boats made this trip and had a fantastic time and so far 4 boats are interested in taking part this year.
Plans are being formulated but if you are interested you can either PM / Email me ( mark@ecc-limited.com ) or PM CT01 who is organising the event.
Cheers
Mark

Mark, I guess this is the same cruise Charles has mentioned to me about.
When you say you have 4 boats interested can you please confirm length and HP. I could be interested but only if there will be a few 6 - 6.5 mtr ribs as well
I did the St.Malo cruise in 2002 which Charles organized (what a great cruise )and there were only 5 ribs , 3 of which were 7-9 mtr and 2 smaller 6 mtr ones .(Geoff's and mine and we stuck together) You need at least one or two ribs of the same size to buddy with.

I might be interested as a 6 Mtr-er if the weather is kind and I can get out of work commitments but......
WHAT DATES ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?
Do you mean the 30th / 31st? or the weekend before..... or maybe (cross fingers), midweek!?

Charles, thanks for confirming the date. With Mike C that makes two possible 6.3 mtr diesel ribs. Can you please advise what other ribs (length/HP) have confirmed participation

CT01 - Thanks for that..... High water in St Malo on the Sunday is just after 8:30 in the morning and, (as you would guess), just before 9:00 in the evening French Standard Time, (which will feel like British time as they will have just put the clocks back). If you are planning an overnight Saturday and Sunday in St Malo and a day trip to Dinan, than that should work out OK. I've never done it but I believe its 2-3 hours to Dinan?
Andre - I am still not confirmed as I have to get out of work commitments.

Need to sort out time off work on the Friday. (Complicated as its actually my last day with this company!). Also would be weather dependent but potentially could be very interested ta.
Will PM you,
Cheers,
Alan

Mike - I can organize my time off for that weekend but before I make any decision I would like to know more about the other participating ribs. So far only big ribs.

Charles,
Just wanted to confirm that I am putting my name down for this cruise.
Two forum members have shown interest in joining me on Seahawk 2 and now just await their final confirmation. If one or both of them should decide to back out then will advise in case somebody else would like to go.
Only the weather will make me pull out and at the end of Oct anything is possible
I am proposing to launch in LAmpton on Thursday 28th Oct and stay overnight in Yarmouth

Going via Jersey
Sounds like an interesting trip...!! Do you know if you are going to swing past Jersey on the way down?? If so, I would be interested in joining there. Charles, I guess you are going to leave from here???
cheers
David
