Ah - I've only just found this thread - I knew it must be here somewhere but expected the date, or SIB cruise or something to be in the heading!

Anyway - yes - we were definitely RIBNET today - at least for the lunch bit in the Wheatsheaf, then BIBOA when we went back into Lymington after the race to chat with the guys there and have another drink!

Looking forward now to next weekend for AJ's - hope the rain stays away!

Trev

Really good day - couldn't believe our luck with the weather!
Thanks to Mike for organising it.

I've stuck my photos in two sets:

Ribnet Cruise Sept 2012 - a set on Flickr

BIBOA Lymington Challenge Sep 2012 - a set on Flickr

Those fast boats are tricky to photograph especially when your boat is going up and down!

Thanks again for a great day

Neil and Fiona

Good lord, when we left it was practically flat calm. How long did you stay in the pub! I know it was reasonably flat because Longjohn was only completely out of the water for 50% of the time. Usually he touches down occasionally to get some thrust before taking off again, fully airborne barking like a good 'un.

Great day out and good to meet up with everyone again.

No, it really was, using the LJ (Longjohn) x TA (time airborne) / FT (full throttle) = WH (wave height) formula, the waves were no more than 2ft (60cm) high.

That Capelli 470 will go through anything! David and I could not shake him off despite some flat out bursts as we got nearer to Poole. Very impressed.
