I'm a little gutted. I'd organized to launch, leave the boat in the water for the next few days in Marina but had decided not to come across to Yarmouth. However I took the boat out for a whizz around Poole Harbour. and when I poked my head out of the Harbour it looked sort of ok but by that time it would have been to late to round up the family etc. oh well, there's the January Nacho run to look forward to..

I'm filling so small now - only seasonal skipper ...

Cgf10 - not sure I would have made the crossing from Poole based on waves central solent. We were happy to get to the lee of the island for the trip west to Yarmouth.

I have suggested to Mat that he should fly out on Saturday and I would pick him up from Gatwick arrange a hotel and on Sunday head with us for Yarmouth . I also said I had a spare all weather kit and it would fit him . There is a flight back to Warsaw on Sunday evening.
Mat having enjoyed ribbing in the Greek waters is not to keen to experience the Solent this time of the year

He is a self confessed weakling...
Yes it was much nicer on way back.
Still want to go out tomorrow. No alarms sounded when I got back so need a test run out before Sunday.
