Am planning on going to Swanage for lunch around 12.30 is tomorrow if anyone is out that way.
However - can I stop anywhere to get ashore or do I need to take the tender ? I cant find anything about anyone from Ribnet stopping off (apart from 250 getting fish & chips- so assume you can tie up? , and someone several years ago stopping on a bouy belonging to 'Keep Off').
Seems to be a bit of a void......
Any advice ?
Pete
Oh - have to back at 3 for my teams 2nd FA cup win in the last few years (maybe)
Pete you can either land on the beach by the old pier, it shelves quite steeply and so can get the nose of the pebbles, or tie up to the small stone jetty to the right of the hire boats to the town side of the "new" pier.
I have never had a problem with either, but the local rowing club seem to think they have sole access to the jetty, so if they are out expect some dirty looks.
As an aside, look out for the Zapcat racing by Bournemouth Pier which is on all weekend, with racing for about 1100 - 1500.
