If you're going the off motor way route, you want M54, A5, A494 (towards Bala), A4212, A470, A487, A497 (Easier than it sounds!) is the best route. Exceptionally good, fast roads.

Wya hey.........
...I'll be there - of course - well done Jono.
Additionally, I'm here to asist in any way shape or form. Abersoch season starts on 1/3/06 so I'll be seeing a lo of you thereafter.
p.s
I thought we were the N.W Ribsters ? I note you are calling us the N.W Ribsters ! Why ? Not that I'm bothered but is it something to do with that false load of ribers over on tepid-ribs. For some reason they think they're the N.W Ribsters when in fact if memory serves me right we formed ourselves about 10 plus years ago under that name.
Further, is it just me or do those boys never go out, also does one not have to own a rib to be in a "rib club" ?
Oh well, I'm more than happy to rebrand myself as a North Wales Ribster as long as they don't start stalking us and changing their name by depole

You could fine some of the Isle of Man ribs will be over for this. I will be over if I manage to keep ther Prosports Engine in one piece this year , Put the Red bay Lifeboat on stand by just in case. We would need some space in the marina though, not found them very helpfull in the past, could you arrange this Jono ?

Does that also apply to the A4212 . I have a good towing vehicle so not really worried. Looking forward to driving through Snowdonia National Park

The A4212 is great with long sweeping bends. The worst is the A494 to Bala but even that's not bad. A really pleasant, interesting journey if the traffic is light (which it probably will be then since the schools haven't broken up). If you have a sports car (without a boat!) this is an awesome and run.
For anybody who hasn't been, the Lleyn peninsular is one of the best natural holiday locations in Britain. Sandy beaches, great boating and fantastic scenary. Must be good, been there more than once every year of my life (42 years) from London.
So come on.....

Doesn't David Manning come from the NW?
By the way this looks like going to be a very good turnout, I've been to Pwlleli a few times and it's a good place to go ribbing!
When I went there I stayed in the guest house run by the Greenwoods, really nice house, very close to the shore and excellent people, ( the whole family ar ribbers!). Oh great breakfast too. I could genuinely recommend staying there to anyone. I don't now the address from memory but I'll dig it out when I get home.
cheers

Lighten up guys..... it was just a 'humorous' retort to MeMe who is a scouser (of sorts)...... Ok, ok so humorous is stretching it a bit.....
Like MeMe, all of my holidays are spent in Abersoch on the Lleyn. Get up there and find out why! (MeMe is there most weekends too).
In fact, anyone whos partner and kids aren't keen on boating, pack them off to Abersoch whilst you're out playing and I'll guarantee they'll have a great weekend too!
