The 2006 RIBnet RIB Raid, 1-2 July, Pwllheli Harbour North Wales

The North Wales Ribsters are pleased to host the “2006 RIBnet RIB Raid” on the 1st & 2nd July 2006 at Pwllheli Harbour North Wales.

The plan will be announced nearer the time but this date is final and will be along the lines of a cruise on the Saturday afternoon around Cardigan Bay followed by BBQ and gathering in the evening at Pwllheli Powerboat Club, the Sunday will be a Cruise to Bardsey Island, Port Dinllaen & Morfa Nefyn and an afternoon / evening departure.

The slipways used will be all state of tide and 4 x 4’s are not needed unless you have serious ribs, the slipways are as good as they get.

Secure Trailer & RIB Parking / moorings will be catered for at a small charge.

There will be a £12 Registration fee and £10 Launching fee payable to Gwynedd Council, I am trying to get this waived.

Accommodation is recommended to book early from the list below quoting Professional Powerboat Training when booking for the best discount.

Grag Y Glyn – 01758 740352
Old Anchor – 01758 701530
Bryncyanan – 01758 720879
Victoria Hotel – 01758 612834
Llys Gwyrfai – 01758 614877

or here - http://www.4hotels.co.uk/uk/pwllheli.html

Avoid The Tower Hotel and The George Hotel like the plague !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camping & Caravanning - Garreg Lwyd on 01758 720684

I’m sure there will be lots to think about however the main thing is that people have got the date in the diary now.

Please register your interest now so we can get an idea about numbers.

Kind Regards

Jono

Jono, I suppose you guys have done the routes across Wales many times

For towing which is the best way from Shewsbury A5

1/. The A5 then A470 to the A487
or
2/. The A458 to the A470 to the A487

Hi

A5 however if your coming through Birmingham, it best to go up to stoke then chester and down the A55 coast road, 20 miles longer about 30 - 45 minutes saving on time.

Just got in off the lifeboat, it about -2 with the wind chill.
