The 8th Annual Pasty run
The 8th Annual Pasty run will take place in 2020 on Sunday the 7th June.
The plan this year will be to leave the breakwater fort (Plymouth) at 11.30 (mid falling tide). We'll first head to the Lighthouse (14nm) where we'll take some pictures and those with flasks a short nip.
Once ready we'll turn West and run into Fowey (14nm) and after a short trip up river to see what's in at the deep water anchorages we'll come back to the pontoons at Poltruan before a short walk up to the cafe / pub / shop for a pasty.
An hour or so later we'll group and and run towards Looe, waving as we go past and head through Whitsands bay back into the Sound mid afternoon on a rising tide.
HW - 06.51 &19.12
LW - 13.14
Those early can get tea, coffee and cake at Bovisands whilst waiting for the jump off.

Will pencil it in and check with SWMBO.
Will be a decent run for me -120 NM - as I'll kick of from Brixham - will probably RV at Eddystone.
At least won't be worried about cr*p electrics on the trailer!=

By the time we get to June hopefully there may be a couple more from there - meeting at the lighthouse is a good idea for the Eastern team, if the vis is good we'll see each other and join up part way hopefully.

Let's see what the announcements on Sunday bring.
If we are allowed to go out and play, for me I'm not sure a first run of the season of 120NM is the most sensible shakedown
Might for me be more sensible to recce the fish & chips at Lyme / Westbay

If it's on, I'll hopefully be able to meet you all in Fowey, I'll run over from Falmouth. I've just got back from a 10 week trip offshore, was supposed to be 3 so I'll now take a few months off, hopefully be able to get out on the water soon.

10 Weeks offshore is not enviable stint, I take my hat off sir.
It would be great if we are allowed out by then, would love to join those who can make it if so.
Boat is currently stripped of all meaningful wiring, long overdue but one of those jobs that never goes to plan!
Fingers crossed for some good news soon.

I would think it'll depend on the weather.
If it's like this you'll be fine, any sort of swell will make it fun, but hard work over the distance.
Could always come our for the first bit, see and decide.

Only if you are you dare to take one of them West over the border, then eat it
Funny how they are shipped out of Cornwall, branded with a Kernow flag, but are reviled by the native indigineous population.

I've spent half of today on the phone and interweb thing.
The pasty run is on - we are a Go!
Fowey Harbour Commissioners are happy for us to pop in and berth for a short stay.
We can then eat our pasty on the Quayside - keeping the social distancing required. Niles Bakery will be open upon our arrival for the purchase of a fresh, hot Cornish Pasty
HOWEVER
I can find no evidence of open toilets in Fowey.
Please bring your own loo roll
Wind is looking like a F4, if it blows up further we will revert to plan b, which is an inshore cruse through Whitsand bay, as its planned to be NW at present.
