So for this reason I regretfully advise I am pulling out. I hope you all have a fantastic trip, I will be looking into doing this trip another time when the tide times are a bit more reasonable and out of the crazy holiday season.

Look forward to seeing the pics/video's/stories.

Hi just for info I am sitting in Penzance Harbour car park now and I have just walked down the Pontoon at 13:30 with plenty of water to launch. Low tide was at 11:30 this morning high tide is at 17:15. So you should be able to launch up to 11am.
I have taken a couple of photos which I will put up later.

I'm going But if this isn't going to come off, then I need to know by Wed lunch time because I'll take the family away instead as this is my week off

If you can't make the launch at Penzance then the other option is to contact Mollers and find out what time they are leaving.

XCweather current forecast....

Ok - new hubs, bearings, wheels & tyres fitted (so now I have two spares) so I think I'm good to go.

Whisper, do you want to meet somewhere around Poole/Bournemouth and travel down together if you are coming from Calshott? Or is a mini convoy likely to be more hassle than its worth?

Ok, I've checked the availability of the following:

Camping at Penzance - Available
Camping on Briar - Avalable
Buoys - None available at this time we have to see on the day (a bruce anchor is recommended)

Apparently we need a tender but I'm sure we can sort something out

We just need the weather to hold

And we really need to say if we are going or not by Wed lunch time

As for a tender a will be taking a 2man dinghy which is alittle stronger then the standard beach one! Only it's a bugger to inflate 5 tubes 4 of these the small takes for ever type.
