I am hoping it will turn into the yearly "Ribnetmeet" but then again thats just me. Its a long tow down for us and a big trip is preferable to make it worthwhile.
As it is we are planning on coming for a week!

Thundercats have said there will be a cash prize for the poker run and a beach party on the saturday night.
If you need further info, pm myself or GED.
All welcome.

Looking forward to this now David, although if anything goes wrong I'll be shouting for you over the radio

We are now looking for a cottage/house to rent for the week to have the booking deposit paid early. The usual sources are being used online but any local knowledge of places that -have good parking for the RIB, have one or two bedrooms (may bring others with us) take a dog (may bring him) and are reasonably priced and pleasant within easy reach of Conwy or LLandudno let me know.
We are reasonably familiar with the area but haven't been there for a number of years (like 10!) going to spend a week there on holiday this year and bring the RIB for a play for a few days including the trip out to the IOM is it goes.
Anywhere decent to stay?

GED is making arrangements ref digs and boat storage. We're hoping to have a secure area right by the slipway.
Our man in the Isle of Man (Cypman)is sorting out berths and a minibus for those who want to go up to the racecourse.
I'll do a provisional runners list this week as there's a few who've booked in by phone or PM.
Thanks for the interest so far.

David, sorry if this has already been said, but couldn't find it with a quick scan. Where in Conway are we launching?

Why not keep the boat in the marina for the week...conwy marina or deganwy marina both owned by www.quaymarinas.com
you may want to check out www.northwalesholidaycottages.co.uk

That site looks like it has some nice cottages, brochure requested. we will have something booked very soon, certainly by the end of the month.

Will be interested in one or both of these trips weather dependent.
Would probably be launching from Beaumaris slip on both days.
Bruce,
I may be able to sort you a house for the week if your interested.
It is 1 mile out of Beaumaris and so either about a 40 minute drive (by car) to Conway but you could launch at Beaumaris and meet the others on the water? The house sleeps 6 or 7. Let me know if your interested and i'll send a link with prices etc.
Regards
Stuart

By all means send the link although we are more thinking of a smaller place for up to 4.
I am waiting for the missus to book the house as she does this part of trips

It looks like this is now the "as official as it gets" 2009 RIBnet gathering. Thanks to David and Ged for putting the work in.
Should be a cracking weekend - who else is up for it?
John
