We're hoping to negotiate a block booking discount for launching/permit.

As soon as we know, the details will be posted. There are other moves afoot to try and reduce costs.

David M,

Is it still the organiser’s intension to take a cruse around Anglesey on Sunday 7th.

Are some people planning to stay overnight on the IOM

Will there be any fun and games planned in Conwy, such as Pub or BBQ on the evening of Sat 6th.

Yes. If there's any survivors from the Saturday, Sunday is round Anglesey.

Some people have said they may do that. Some people may have no choice in the matter.

Probably. You know what the Welsh are like. Me, I'll be in the pub.

Sportsboat and Rib magazine want some words and pictures of the cruise for publication so if there's any budding journalists/photographers, this may be your chance.

This year will be my first season with a rib (Avon Searider sr4) (Mariner 40) and looking to get involved in some events. Fancy the weekend in june isle of man and anglesey although prob better just taking my boat around anglesey.

Ged

Sounds like a great result and thanks . I am thinking of trailering boat up on the Fri. and would be happy to leave in secure parking area but if - as it seems - there are going to be quite a few of us is there an option to launch on the Fri. and leave on a berth overnight ? If not I'm expecting an earlyish start on the Sat. to get everyone on the water in good time ?

Would it be helpful to know how many wanted secure parking for the Fri. night ? If so count me in.

Can't see that being a problem and it would help reduce the Saturday morning congestion.

One thing the Conwy HM is firm about is that every boat launching from the slip must have proof of insurance.

A bonus for Mercury/Mariner powered ribs is that EP Barrus will kindly be supplying some free 2 stroke and opti oil.

We're making enquiries to extend this to other engine makes.

There's been a few people asking about taking smaller boats. The trip is 55nm across open sea without any safe havens so it's probably wiser to jump on a bigger boat for the IOM run and do the round Anglesey in the smaller boats on the Sunday. If you've got spare seats, make it known, please

Had and Opti once Dave, now you tell me!! Nice one it was, and then someone sold me and Evinrude - monster of a thing, and loves oil like Mark loves his Guinness.

serious note - you boys (Ged and Dave) are doing a crackin job of arranging things, and we are looking forward to having a great weekend!

Sports Boat And RIB Magazine have ran a '4' page spread (March issue) on The North West Ribsters. With nice photos of Mark in his 8mt Aircraft, at night and going under the two Meni bridges......Just a taster for those on the cruise in June
