The Fire Service UK Challenge is now two weeks in and dogged by bad weather. This is a charity complete circumnavigation of the UK and Islands in a 5.8 meter Rib to raise money for Keech Cottage childrens Hospice and the Fire Service Benevolent fund.
Points of call include the Channel Islands and Isles of Scilly (done) and will include the Isle of Man, Northern Ireland, Hebredies, Orkney and Shetland Islands - in all there are 47 legs. Details can be found on
www.uk-challenge.co.uk
This is all for two fine charities and believe me with the wind as it has been for the last fortnight the going is hard. If anyone wants to donate, details of us and our sponsors are on the website, or, feel free to just have a look and check out our daily diary.
Cheers, Phil
UK Challenge.
