It should be. I believe they've got over 10 tonnes of fireworks.

In addition to perusing the link as posted by Ribald, Mark Halliday has put this very helpful update on Ribsters :
' "Printed safety instructions together with full details of anchorage areas and general guidance, which MUST BE HELD ON BOARD ALL VESSELS wishing to visit the International Fleet Review. They are available as an Adobe Acrobat PDF download from this website or may be obtained free of charge in May from local Dean and Reddyhoff, MDL and Premier Marinas or by sending a stamped addressed C4 envelope (stamp(s) to the value of 79 pence) to: Trafalgar 200 International Fleet Review, PO Box 2000, Kenley, Surrey CR8 5XL. "
Download from-
www.trafalgar200.com/downloads/t200_ifr_safety.pdf
Some mags have the leaflet this month. PBO, I think is one.
Marshall briefings are between 14th & 24 June.
I will be attending one on the 19th and will post any useful information given afterwards.'
-pilfered from Mark Halliday

Sure is going to be crazy out there. I heard estimates of up to 10,000 boats on the day - Will be able to walk to the isle of wight without getting feet wet!
I have managed to get a berth for the week in a really good location oposite gunwharf but am a bit worried about getting in and out on the 28th. Surely there will be a massive queue! Especially as the in and out to portsmouth will be closed several times in the day.
Anyone fancy coming back in the dark after the fireworks with that many boats all heading for home?
Can't wait though!

I shall be out from 1600 hrs to 1900 hrs in the area to the West and South of No Mans Fort.
I shall be sporting my RIBNET Burgee and the Trafalgar 200 flag.

We'll be operation out of pompi like yourself. Last year the trip back from Cowes Fireworks was bad enough !!!!! boats blasting all over the place , no lights, pissed as farts etc - this will be more "interesting" to say the least.
subject to weather the best bet is to wait after the fireworks at a beach , have a non - alcho drink and then head home after the rush.
yep should be fun
Paul

I will be launching from Hythe, probably between 7.30-8am, returning post 1am (tides are hopeless and it would probably take all day to get out of Hythe marina, its bad enough on a normal day).
Does anyone know what time its all starting?

1200 - Reveiwing vessel with HM The Queen embarked departs Portsmouth.
1300 - Review commences.
1445 - Review concludes. Reviewing vessel anchors Sth of Outer Spit Bouy. Steam past by destroyer sqadron (at 15 knots - spectator craft should be alert for wash). Tall ships motor past the reviewing vessel, coinciding with massed fly-past of international maritime aircraft. Previously-nominated group of sail and motor yachts proceed past the reviewing vessel.
1700 - Tall ships begin positioning for son et lumiere
1730 - Aerobatic displays
1900 - Son Et Lumiere begins (simulated battle from 2140) followed by fireworks.
2230 - Event concludes

Does anyone know when the ships for the review will arrive and anchor up in the Solent?
Will there be anything worth seeing on the weekend of 25th 26th?
Cheers
Phil
