I will need to sort out the pontoon at Canary Wharf officially but they seem open a small fee so we can do some ferrying on to the pontoon from the moorings downstream!

Chris

Chris, I'll still be there but won't be able to make lunch as just been reminded of a certain someones birthday late lunch that i need to go to.

Will see you at Putney and go up maybe as far as Tower or Greenwich but will then have to turn back.

Maybe out again in the afternoon so could see you guys again later in the day.

Launch party at Petersham, River Lane

Andy
We are also planning Petersham.
We will need to launch earlier than the others to allow for the passage down stream to Putney.
We (Marikh) are aiming for 10am launch.
Richmond lock.
We would be launchung onto a section of Thames that is not truley tidal.
In that the river is 'stopped off' at Richmond lock (ie between petersahm and Putney). approx 2 hours each side of HW the river is open to navigation.
The time we would be arriving approx 10.30 the river sliuces are anticipated to be closed and we would expect to enter Richmond lock and decend to the fully tidal river.

THe locking process may take some time - lockkeepers tea break etc. so would then anticipate being at Putney bridge for scheduled meet up with the others.

With HW about 14.15 I am anticipating our return up the river enabling us to go straight through and avoid the locking process.

My mobile number is 07876 648930.

See you at River Lane?

Good News!!

I have arranged for us to lock into Limehouse Basin free of charge and moor up, free of charge!!

We need to be down there for about 1330 - 1400. There is a pub nearby which does pretty good food for "top end" of a reasonable price tag!!

I will try to reserve tables.

If anybody wants to chat about launching/recovering/fuel/say hello, give me a call on my mobile which is 07968 351 721

Mind if me and son join along?
I will be launching out of Draw Dock, Isle of Dogs, next to the rowing club.
Will then head upstream until I get trampled by an etchelon of Ribs

Wonder what the river Police will make of it all?

Is it possible to join you for lunch as well.

Hopefully there will be no dramas this time. Last trip on the Thames was when Dan TD5 and daughter Beth, both fell in after their boat got tangled up with a cement barge

Many thanks,
Tim'mers.
