for those with lighter fuel capacities refuelling is only available saturday morning on st marys
so I think you will need to take jerry cans if your main tank isn't big enough for the trip.
I have 2 x 20 litre plastic cans if someone wants to borrow them but I doubt ill have room to take them on my boat.

Can I brrow these Roy, I only have a 50 ltr fuel tank and 2 x 25 ltr Jerry cans.
Taking your 20 ltr cans I think 140 ltrs should be ok.

if I can squeeze them in the boat ill bring em with me full
I think one of them may be full of veg oil at the moment can't think how it found its way into a fuel can...

Hi Bob
If you decide to lunch from Hayle, do you want me to try and arrange for your trailer and vehicle to be kept in my mates secure car park on Sat night (still requires wheel clamp), other possibility is to leave your trailer and vehicles at the Heli port.
I am going to lunch and leave the boat with Andy whitest I take the trailer home approx. 15 mins drive then get me Mrs to drop me down to Pz again?
Cheers Shaggy

I will probably be down at pentewan sands having a bbq or similar with chris (hugh jardon) on friday evening. I can either leave them somewhere you can get them at my house or you could join us down at pentewan for the evening and collect them from there.

Knew I shouldn't have chipped in on this thread
Before I answer can I just say a big thank you to Alice and Bob for the regular phone calls over the weekend, they managed to keep me bang up to date with how much fun you were all having, where you were eating, how perfect the conditions were etc.etc.etc. Right pair of ( insert as appropriate)
So, this weekend I would love to do, looks as if all going are overnighting so that's what I need to plan for as well. Will be much quieter workwise so at the moment a tentative 'yes'. Bob tells me he burnt about 70/80 ltrs last time, what about you Roy?

it would be great if you came kernow - a full compliment of the south west ribsters would be a first...
I burnt around 85 litres last time.
we did however do very little island exploring and it was from penzance. on the other hand we went the long way out and back ie via seven stones and wolf rock.
I reckon from falmouth it will be more like 140 - 150 liters round trip + 20 or 30 for island hopping whilst we are there...
this gives me anything from 0 to 20 litres reserve...
I suggest the falmouth crew depart at 8am from mylor then take in the sights round the lizard and meet up with the penzance crew around 10:30 ish then head straight out so to maximise island exploring time and minimize fuel consumption.
