RIBase
Hi Michael I am sure some of the Oban boys might fancy the trip. Aprt from the dates being flexible the one over-riding factor especially for Skerryvore is the weather!
When you go I hope you have a great trip and remember the photos!

It is a long way out and, while tempted at times in the past, I have never had free time and weather co-operate to let me try for it.
I have dived the Labrador off Skerryvore (or more accurately mackenzies rock about a mile SW of the lighthouse) and would love another go. Its one wreck that you can see from the surface and it sits in about 30m or so.......
Even on a 7m RIB you need a week of calm weather to even think about it IMO, there is nothing between there and the USA...........

Hi there
I could be tempted. Does indeed depend on the weather, but i will be up in Iona for a week or so at the start of august. Iona is a perfect pit stop for a tiree trip - round the ross of mull then into the pub for a quick bit of lunch, then its not far at all to Tiree. Also at that time of year Gunna sound should be the basking shark equivalent of piccadilly circus!

Does all depend on the weather, but i was hoping to go out to Mingulay / Barra that week as well from Iona if anyone fancied joining me....

Cheers
Ally

Hi Andy,

What dates are you looking at in August? Are you planning to go on your own or are there other boats? Your trip sounds good and I am very interested, depends very much on dates though.

Michael
