Ventnor - Sunday 13th March.

The tides and weather are looking good for a run to Ventnor for lunch this Sunday.
Most likely leaving SDS about 11am so should get to Ventnor about 12.15.

Just home and dog walked. Good to see you, Trev, Dave and Ginny.
Great run out but a bit rougher in places than I would have liked given I had the dog with me!

I see I have missed a good trip. there are not many weekends were the tides and weather tell you to go to Ventnor. Hopefully more will follow

I do not have any overseas trips planned to hope to catch up with you soon

Although the outward run from Poole to Ventnor was a bit lumpy owing to wind over tide (holes in the sea, cross-waves etc) and hazy visibility meant that we were out of sight of all land for most of the time, the return trip was a blast and one of the best fast crossings that we've done recently: wind (by now lighter) and tide were both behind us, the sun was shining and visibility had improved (although Old Harry and the Swanage cliffs took some time to appear through the haze!). Surprisingly, Neil's post meant that he was coming rather than that he couldn't make it, so it was nice to see him as well as Trevor and have a few drinks on the terrace in the sunshine.

Mrs A took some photos:
1. The view from outside the harbour across the bay to the pub (sea looking somewhat flatter than it was further offshore!); and
2. The lads in the sunshine.
