hi tsm
when u thinking about it. if i can get a few rib buddies interested i might give it ago.
im from tyrone but rib in donegal bay out of killybegs.
im a fair weather ribber, dont fancy getting bashed about like the armada that went down the west coast this year. dont mind a bit of rough but not hours / days of it. the valiant v520 hasnt a deep v.

Killybegs has to have the best slipway I've ever seen.

I can't see me doing this one but it's a fantastic plan. I've long intended to do a tour of the western islands - inside the general area from the Cliffs of Moher in the south, encompassing the Aran Islands, Inishbofin and Inisturk, Clare Island and possibly up into the myriad of islets and torrs to the north around Belmullet. You could kill a week in there and not see it all. The craic on the inhabited islands is fierce during the summer. I really think that it's a weather call - it's a very exposed coast...

Someday I'll do it.

Maybe....

I'd be up for it too... even a cruise from Killybegs down around Clew Bay and the islands would be cool. (or West Coast and out to the Aran Iskands.. ;-) ) But like Pottsy - I'm more into enjoyment than endurance....

this post needs reserected again in the spring to see who would be interested. the longer the trip the more the logistics come into play e.g refueling, etc weather window.

but it sounds promising

I'm away for the first half of August - but would still be interested in doing Clew Bay/Clare Island/Inishbofin later in August or September. Can only manage a long weekend tho'
