Good to see everyone had a good trip out.
We didn't bottle it because of the weather but the trailer decided for us. Suspension unit failure just before Warsash completely buggered the day. If anyone has those bolt-on suspendion/hub units, take a look at the underside of the square box section and make sure it's not dispappearing! Just very relieved it was a low-speed failure and not on the motorway.
Luckily Towsure had the right bits on the shelf, so we did a steady 3-wheeler over to Drivers to fix it up. In fact, the trailer was remarkably stable and I would have gone further iexcept for attracting the attention of plod.
Thanks to Stuart and BenC for the use of angle grinder, drill andl bits to get the job done.
Got home iin the end without further mishap.

Gray has kindly taken the video camera off the tape, and has a taster for you guys to see. Will get the rest of it put up as soon as possible.
Please bare in mind, this is the first time i've really recorded a journey, so theres a few teething problems, but hope to get it better next time...
The tape seems to have got bashed around a bit, so you'll see some glitches (need to work out a way to pad the video camera more I think!). Also, need to get some "water deflecting" spray or similar to stop the water sticking to the camera lens.
Anyway, take a look
http://www.gburgess.co.uk/Yarmouth1.wmv
Its the first cut, not really optimised yet - so its a big 12mb file, clicking on the link should start streaming the video, right click and "Save AS" to download it! We have an hour worth of footage, just need to sit down and take the best bits out!
Oh, and it IS playing at normal speed!

You are 'in shot' later on the tape when Ben was posing for your camera!

That is brilliant guys, amazing it does not bounce about more.
I was thinking it would be good to mount the lens sideways. Then you would get some brilliant footage of boats running alongside at high speed. Its the kind of footage no-one ever gets in rough weather as they can never carry a camera and hold on at the same time!
If you want some footage of your boat doing this then let me know and maybe we can put the camera on mine on the next trip.
