My DSC handheld does not seem to have the option to do position requests or if it does I cannot work out how to do it. What is your boat name? I'll call you on DSC if we can't find you but I need a boat name for the voice comms.
Chris

Chris I will be on VHF 72 / Call INDABA RIB - look for us island shore side anywhere between Gurnard / Salt Mead / Hampstead Ledge. Hope to meet up and have a run down with you / and Needles if there is time.
Anyone with AIS will see me pinging INDABA RIB

I don't think it will be hard to figure out or find each other, there shouldn't be much else out there, and to find that many ribs milling about its a sure bet it's you lot

I have told others I will be listening on ch 77. Do you have an MMSI that I can dsc call you on if we cannot find you? You can always DSC call me and switch me to ch72 (MMSI in my signature). I will run close to the Cardinals and Lateral Marks you mentioned, I cannot imagine that The Solent will be busy this time of year, Ribnet will probably be the only vessels out.

There might be a good chance of it, I was ask to leave my boat in the water since last week just in case there was I need for towing, so she's ready to go, not heard from anyone to say they are coming down to work on MacRib and I can leave welding a horse box up for another day, so if it's nice, I'm in.

Looking at the instructions for the M91D (p.61) it looks like it is:
<Menu> -> <DSC Settings> -> <Position ACK> -> "Auto TX"

Hi all
I am hoping to join you on Saturday for the first of my ribnet trips if that is ok and will probably launch from Mudeford and make my way round (weather permitting) for a play in the Solent and Nachoes, I will be single handed so if the weather is not playing ball and I have to launch at Lymington I may need a little help if that is OK as I struggle to drive rib and car at the same time.

Hi I usually launch from mudeford and I'm hoping Saturday will be my first rib net trip too.
I wad going to go to lymington partly to save fuel and the Solent should be more sheltered.

The run had moved a lot a couple of weeks ago(as AJ and I found as we bumped the bottom!)
With the amount of water that's flowed out recently I'd take lym every time given a choice this time of year.
Looks to be quite a number of us about and matth will be tied to the pontoon from 9.30 until 11 (unless he gets lost again) :-)....so easy to assist..
