Why not go over to the west if the sea is to rough you have always got the menai straits to play in. If you could make the following week you could join us on this... http://www.rib.net/forum/f18/n-wales...8th-45060.html

The slipway at Whitby is easy for car launching, was there Saturday before last and that was the first time I had used it.
Nothing to worry about, might even make it there myself that weekend if I can.

Just been off Whitby today. Very nice in the harbour and some big rollers further out, plenty of air!
You can tell summers on its way as every boat had someone there getting ready for the season. :-)"

Hi there, this is the slipway at Whitby, absolute doddle to launch and Park but seems to be one of the most expensive,
Great place though.

Its in the marina, Down Bagdale, past the bus station on your Right, then past the train station, again on your Right then turn Right at the mini roundabout past the co op 150 yards and you are there. Have look on Google earth.

There's one on the opposite site of the river to the marina but I've never used it. The marina is £20.20 including parking, not cheap but it it's easy.

They's a tap at the top of the slip for flushing your engine plus a new shower/toilet block to get changed in which is loads better than the old one.
I can't condone not paying but the marina office isn't always manned..... I used to launch my 14ft SIB and the marina attendant just said I'll class it as a tender to your Dads boat lol.
The slip does have a ledge at the bottom which can be a bit naughty towards LW.
