£40k Snap On gear stolen and the thief brags ..

Found this on a forum - you need to have a quick read!

Precis: some chap had his Snap On van broken in to and circa £40k worth of equipment stolen. The tools are recovered, but then some numpty posts up how he knicked them and how it was worth the two months inside.

Trouble is, he left his email address on his member info....which led to his name....which led to his address and phone number....which led to his Facebook account....

which led to all sorts of fun for everyone on the forum.... apart from the idiot with light fingers...

let the fun begin... Snap On van broken into and stripped!!!!!! - Mitsubishi Lancer Register Forum

I worked for Snap-on Tools Inc. for a long time, and we occasionally had tool trucks broken into. Someone cut the roof off one truck, and worked around the alarm...hmmm, ya think it was a customer? Another dealer had tools stolen so he put in surveillance and caught the guy. When I installed a backup camera into one, I also put a camera inside that flipped on whenever the truck was off. Everyone thought they were being recorded although it was just a camera. Never had much of a theft problem on that truck.

I will take your 500 and up it to 1800 posts

This is the meaning of getting owned.

That'll be a roller cabinet, 13mm long socket and a set of five ratchet spanners then.
