Yes I saw this as well - it's nothing new though!! The whole system of local government needs a massive shakeup. The average age of a councillor is about 65.
They are typically people like bus conductors and railway men etc and yet they handle budgets of literally billions of pounds. They listen to the vocal minority and totally ignore what most people want.
