Acid Spill

Came up in conversation today about the tanker collision near Guernsey:

With all that Phosphoric acid (rust remover) in the surrounding water, how many anodes and propellors of the rescue tugs are likely to get zapped big time and what is the likely effect of sucking it up into a nice warm engine?

Was it anything to do with gArfie?
