am i going mad or am i just grumpy
is it me or is it getting more difficult to get thing done, i logged on to my internet bank and they ask me all the secure stuff and then ask me to update my email address.
big mistake, the upshot of it was i was locked out, this was a week ago.
i phoned and went through all the usual bollox and they said they'll send me by mail a new password, still nothing, now this is where it get's even more stupid, they need to send this letter to my holiday home (registered account address) on the isle of wight, although they send all the other stuff to my home on the mainland
round 2 with the RYA
As a commercial skipper i had a big medical done through the rya and it's valid for 5 years, recently i have been ask to race the historic powerboat GEE in cowes to torquay so i apply for a race licence, you guessed it, you need a medical.
i point that the medical i had done for them at vast expense was still valid, there answer was this is a different form of medical.
they send me the form and it's all the same questions, by now i'm getting a bit tressed with these tosser's, i point this out and ask what's the use of paying for one that will last 5 year if it you cant use it and is this just a money gathering exercise.
is it me doing something wrong?

The race medical is an annual one - I also have a Yachtmaster power with a medical and can't use it for racing - I know how you feel but it won't make any difference!

you'd better calm down before the medical or you'll fail it on your blood pressure! Doctor's love all this "special form" stuff - it pays for their ski holidays! Ash Cash (Cremation certificate fees), Bash Cash (Reports for insurance companies) and Rash Cash (Fee for reporting infectious diseases), my GP friend calls it...
On the positive side, its all good for the ecconomy and keeps people in jobs!

I had the same with Natwest, working in Norway my fault I entered something wrong when logging in, rings them up and am told don't worry just reactivate with your card reader..... the one which is in the UK.
No one at Natwest could or would reactivate my online banking, I had to wait till I got back to the UK.
As for medicals I now need my offshore one every two years as it was ageist before making older workers have more frequent medicals, every does it every 2 years now and they get more cash.
Want to work overseas, thats another medical which was more or less the same as my offshore one, gets home and I needed another for the RNLI, 3 medicals in 3 months, madness!

Mad and Grumpy, LOL! Will probably describe me in an hour 'cos I'm off to try to open a Business Current Account in Northern Ireland in a bank I have never used before, and I'm not trading in Northern Ireland...
I can feel my stress levels rising already
