Nope
This is the new bridge from Rio to Anti-rio in Peloponese connecting Peloposese to Sterea Hellas (middle Greece). Is about 10 miles long (I think).

Nick is my complaint too as well as the complaint of another 10000000 Greeks but who listens.
We have stadiums, roads in and around Athens looking like you are in the most technologically advanced country and also many semi finished Olympic game buildings and roads that will never finish I don't think. But we also have the rubbish on the streets and the under funded schools, no farming, no electricity in some remote villages, no roads in those villages, no water services, no telephone (or may be just one for emergency) no health care, and a complicated paper ridden (not computerised as most of the people in the Government offices don't know how to use these strange machines) bureaucratic system that does not even exist in a 3rd World Country. Apart from that we wanted to do the Olympics and the tourist trade is 30% down from last year and last year was at 70%! They beg people to buy Olympic Games tickets on the TV adverts as not very many Greeks will go and no tourist either from what the stats say.
Phil didn't noticerd that Cheers

Not only that but the lifeblood of Greece - British tourists - are locked up and treated like criminals for taking photos at an air display!

Cod I'm afraid will have to disagree with you.
Taking photos in and around a military base is a criminal offence in Greece as well as in many other countries including the US.
There were signs where these people were taking the photos saying that taking photos is prohibited and all that. They should had been more careful and not take any photos. IMHO serves them right. In all countries (inc UK) ignorance of the local law is not excused and if you don't obey the law you suffer the consequences

Manos, I agree, however,......
when the law as stupid as that one is not only passed let alone enforced, it's a pretty sorry state of affairs. Whatever next ? I'm surprised you were allowed to take a photo of the bridge for fear of you doing a reki' on how plan a terrorist attack.
p.s Nice Bridge..............

I didn't say anything different to that The law is stupid but is the law (unfortunately). As a matter of fact a lot of things are stupid here but you learn to leave with them.
Hey thanks The bridge cost an arm and a leg had to be nice

Do you think......
the same bridge designs are universally used the World over ? I say that because there's a birdge just like yours between Queensferry and Flint in North Wales. It's not as long but looks identical. I'll try and snap a picture on the way over tonight - God I'm b ring (boring)

That would leave you with just the Germans. I think you've been there before.
I'm off to Kos in a couple of weeks with 10 members of my family and have been looking forward to it since I booked it in September last year. The Greek people that I have met on my many holidays to your fair country have been among the nicest, most generous, genuine people I've met on my travels.
Are you trying to spoil this illusion I have by saying that the Greek people don't need people like me and my family to visit for our holidays in the same way that this country needs that same?
