Amazing Power Boat
I came across this amazing looking boat quite by accident. I know nothing about it and would be quite keen to learn it's history. I have 22 good photos in a PowerPoint Presentation of the exterior and interior if anyone's interested. It's quite a large file and I don't have hosting facilities, so if anyone is interested, please PM me with your email and I'll send it that way. The PPS file opens in Office Pro 2003 by the way in case of backwards/forwards incompatibility.
there again, if this is old news, please ignore...
Cheers,
Hard1

That's a Wally Power 118, 3x 5600hp gas turbines (!), cruising speed 60 knots.
www.wally.com, they make lots of strange looking boats.

Here's another one to wet your whistle...This looks like a computer generated vessel , but it seems real enough.

I think the name of the company sums them up - when you think of the boats you could buy for the same money!!!

the boat is used in the movie "The Island" and features fairly often.
This lot seem to do some nice yachts too!!

Their yachts are gorgeous, and having just watched the video of this boat on the website its clear the same attention to detail's gone into their power boats too.
Range of 380 nm at 60 knots without spilling the champagne - moaning about the price is totally missing the point!

yeah your right mat it was, I think most of it was carbon fibre inside as well including the loo seat, making it so light it could achieve 70mph or something silly like that

They do a range of tenders too - very snazzy although you really have to be into minimalism to love this type of thing. The yachts are spectacular. Some talk of a 55m power boat!

It is incredible just how big a market there is for luxury yachts etc.
In the early 1990s there were 500 superyachts in use - today it is over 10,000. Many British boat builders have steadily moved upmarket - people like sunseeker actually sell more of their £1million+ boats than they do the cheaper ones!!!
