I dont know about the rest of the Country but it Blew a Bloody Hooley here last night!
Uprooted a 50 foot Pine in the Garden just missing the House. So someone must be looking after me Two trees on road,Nieghbours missing tiles ect.Could have been alot worse

drove up norf early morning to the cat' as the client thought we were gonna get a weather window was going over shap and then decided to go thru lake district at last minute. Glad I did M6 had high siders blown over in 110mph gusts apparently and closures shortly after I turned off. Lake District roads had loadsa lumps of tree on them esp round Windermere and a lot of standing water which always seemed to be hiding round blind bends in very dark places. Driving rain and strong winds all the way...and when we got there couldnt even get onto the boat in the dock due to weather...surprise surprise. Well worth the trip
