I don't know which is the more surprising, a) plasma has found it's way to the colonial outposts or b) you get Freeview to watch on it. There's bits of Wales & Scotland that Freeview hasn't got to yet.....I'll get me coat

On the subject of Dry joints I was speaking to a marine electronics engineer last year during the conversation he said that in some factory's abroad the new lead free solder regulations that came in a few years ago for some countrys have brought about some really crap solder which in some cases don't seem to last as good as the old stuff .

Our Sony Bravia did that after 3 years it is a known fault, John Lewis replaced
entire screen at home FOC as all John Lewis TVs have a three year warranty
sorry 5 year warranty
