We're off to the Dolomites next week, they've had over 3m of snow in the last fortnight. They only got the roads open last weekend.

Unbelievable badly placed thread!

By the way Arraba is great - make sure you so the whole Sella Ronda round trip in one day - one of the great ski tours. The frozen waterfalls in Falsarego and Passa Pordoi are spectacular.

Aye Second time around for us. We "Discovered" Arraba last year, did the whole Sella Ronda trip, Hidden Valley, Marmolada etc. Skied the 4rse off it for a week & barely scratched the surface. The Great War area is fascinating & something I'd not heard of, well worth a visit. Snow is superb at the mo' & more on the way

You may not realise but because our unbiased media are so concerned about global warming, they are only reporting the flooding. The ski slopes in Scotland have more snow than Sochi or Whistler at the moment. Anoch Mor has over 30feet of drifts at present. If our media promoted this more often and a week before half term the economy here may get a boost. But it doesn't fit with the theory of global warming to have busy slopes closer to home. Bit of a shame really.

It strikes me that there has been far too much blame seeking on the Environment Agency. Is not all this weather (to coin a phrase) an "Act of God?" Surely now is the moment to question the Pope or our Arch Bishop Justin Welby to see if there has been any mis-managment at divine HQ!! Why have they not been in cassock and wellies down to Somerset to apologise for this mess? Where is Moses and some parting of the sea when we need him? PS - someone should also warn Noah there may be a Giraffe missing.
