Anyone recognise this font??

Anyone have a stab at what font this is? Want to get the name in stickers on the transom and it would be nice to use the same font.

Gotchi - if you get a good quality image "square on" then run it thought What Font is | WhatFontis.com you will usually get something pretty close.

Google calligraphy fonts and see if you can match it, else take a photo straight on and stick some of the letters into a font matching site such as myfonts.com

I went through all the serif fonts on "dafonts" but couldn't seem to make it out. Didn't know about font matching sites, I'll take a better picture at the end of the week and run it through, thanks.

It's not dissimilar to Zapf Chancery, but the top of the ascender on the 'd' goes the wrong way.

Adobe Poetica is closer, but still just not quite it (the right leg on the R is different).

New Marigold is closer still, but perhaps a little spikier than the picture.

Looks very much like Palatino italic and tightened up on horizontal scale.

I think that Poetica is perfect, thanks No one is ever going to see them side by side obviously and they're close enough it is not noticeable at all.

I used to have an APP on my iphone called (what the font) i only ever used it to try it out, have now removed it. It might be worth a go at that. It didnt like pictures from the screen by the way, it used to pick up the horizontal bars. but worked really quite well on photos.
