Avatar in 3D

Going to the cinema is something I just don't do normally.
Don't really know why, I've lots of good intentions when I see films advertised but just don't get there.

However we've just got back from seeing Avatar in 3D, my first ever 3D film.

All I can say is what a great experience, all of us enjoyed a great family film and the 3D really brought it to life.

Regular film goers will probably be having a quick chuckle at me for being so naive.

Nasher.

I've not been to see a film for about 6 years but after hearing everyone rave about Avatar I'm going to make myself go.

Lqast thing I saw in 3D was something at eurodisney with the kids and it was amazing, complete with effects round about you of water in your face from a jet from the seat in front and air round your feet .. it was compelling

All my friends loved it but personally...... Thouhght the plot was predictBle and found it very long and a bit boring. Plus, I and the wife went to the loo, as it was so long, and both found people throwing up!!! Evidently some find it like sea sickness!!

Someone else has told me about that Paul. Apparently when there is fast action in 3D your eyes find it hard to adjust.

I went to see it last year and found it to be a very pleasant experience. It's not an "in your face" experience like some have been in the past, but done much more subtlety. I particularly liked the rain drops that were very effective. However my friend moaned the whole film though as he couldn't experience the 3D effect and felt he was being ripped off for the extra money it costs.

I didn't see anyone being sick.

We all really enjoyed Avatar 3D - and even Darren managed to suppress the sea sickness and bladder expansion for the duration - much recommended (the film not Darren's bladder suppression, that's always quite dangerous!)

I thought it was all right but not worth the extra cash for the ticket. 3D effects were very poor compared with theme parks I have been to.

Not sure what everyone is raving about, others at work who have seen it also agree 3D was disappointing.
