bass and mackeral in the chichester harbour area

bass and mackeral in the chichester harbour area.....been fishing recently and the fish have seemed to have gone on holiday, does anyone have any hints and tips of where to go and what to use to pull up a few bass and mackeral around the chichester harbour area

have had some luck drifting over teh deep bit where the entrance to the harbour is with live sandeels but differcult to get them

ifyou have a tip that is secret then send me an email

cheers in advance

also tip for you people with inflatables with inflatible floors, never put a bass on the floor and keep it away from your tubes, they will puncture them, i had 10s of microscopic holes in my floor of my last tender that i only found when washing it and saw some foaming , not good, bang em in a cool box str away

I was Mackerel fishing just off Chichester bar 2 weeks ago with my Dad, we had 2 rods out, 1 had coloured feathers on it and the other had silver feathers. The coloured feathers caught 2 Mackerel in total in a 2 hr period as where the silver feathers caught 17 Mackerel in the same time span, and we often had 2 or 3 on that line at a time. Just a shame we only had 1 set on board. We should be out there again this weekend at some point.

erm no

Sorry, I had about 6 weeks ago and Avon 620 with Suzuki DF140 on it, now I have the New Avon Seasport 580 with DF140 Suzuki. Although you are correct with the fact we have a caravan near the Witterings, although your name does sound familiar.

i was fishing that day too, in fact you followed me in thru the harbour, there was three of us making our way back, and i stopped and you passed while i was sorting some bits out, i was in the 4 plus2 looking at the cobra moored off the pontoon at ichenor and you moored up at the pontoon. We were spending a day on the water looking for ribs to make our minds what to go for, either an adventure 620 or picton cobra 7.5. a small world i think. glad you had more luck with the fish than me, was a bit rough that day for the mrs. anyway will hook up soon, cheers for the email
