Best place to launch in Cornwall

Hi All

I have a waverunner vxho jet ski and taking it away with me next weekend.

Never used it before so wanting to give it a good test.

Any suggestions on best place / easiest place to launch it in Cornwall, not fussed were as the trips about the ski. Might be worth pointing out I tow it with a merc coupe so needing a good solid launch pad or somewhere they will do it for me.

Nice sight seeing place would be good. I have insurance and life vests etc.

Thanks all

Welcome to the forum possibly.

You are going from Doncaster to Cornwall to try out a ski that you've not used before.

You are posting in the commercial operator's section on a forum for RIB's and SIB's.

It's all a bit odd.

Check carefully as many slips do not allow skis to be launch - I have no idea why as they are great to watch and make a great noise. If it the first time try Grimsby.

Are you stereotyping?

Glad the OP posted as I'd forgotten to replenish my PWC Emergency Rescue kit this season (I used to carry it in case I discovered a stranded PWC driver). Basically, it's a ziploc bag that I can throw over to them - it contains a jumbo Mars bar...

Wouldn't want them to get hungry waiting for the RNLI.

Sorted now gents.

Took the ski on a lake near me and no issues.

Spoke to the launch ramp at Penzance, very helpful lady, jet ski’s welcome and parking etc available, seems pretty relaxed only requires ins and life vests. Will have a ride down to lands end and see what we can see.

Just hope the Mrs doesn’t spot the ski hooked up to the car when we leave as I am
Yet to tell her [emoji23]

Thanks All
