Yup we've lost a couple of 6ft panels as well. Trouble is ours are the slot in type and until the wind dies down I don't fancy lift a 5ft by 6ft flat panel that far off the floor. One gust and it (and probably me as well) will be history.
Bl**dy annoying - not had the boat out once this winter
apparently there have been recorded wind speeds of 99 mph on the isle of wight over night!
glad my boat is tucked away indoors at the moment! the prospect of going out in a ferry doesn't appeal, let alone a small boat!
Dropped my son off at the car ferry 3.30 this morning pretty windy then all hovercraft and fast jets canceled . Lost 2 fence panels and a post already .

A couple of roof skylite panels at the workshops have fallen victim of the wind, mind you they where pretty ropey before. Looks like a couple more will go before the end of day.

Our garden wall has blown away. Drove round to the top of Portsmouth harbour earlier and the water was blowing over onto the road. Some uni lectures have even been cancelled as the roof of one of the buildings has blow off!
All my fencing and walls are OK.
So far I have ost 1/2 roof tile and the Cat Flap.

Like a war zone round here diverted twice by the police on seperate roads because of trees falling down and blocking them bloody patio heater has blown over and smashed and I had put a new cover on it just before Christmas there advicing we leave the building were I work because glass panes and slates are flying of in all directions
Here's a still picture of Southsea sea front near the Aquarium, taken around mid-day today.
Sorry about the quality we could barely stand upright and the camera was erm, buffeted to say the least.
I have a video too but am still trying to work out how to show it
I'm sitting in a building in Bishopsgate next to Liverpool Street Station over looking a large section of road that has been closed off.
A section of a building next to the station has been wobbling all ove the place most of the day and the Police shut it all off.
I spent nearly an hour working with them earlier to make sure enough road was shut off and we finally had to shut the main entrance to the station too.
Wind speeds on the roof of this building peaked at 82 mph at 15:45 this afternoon and we nearly lost part of the roof.
Well in school today, a small window open for some fresh air, next minute massive gust slams the door, pulls it straight through the frame and have to be 'crow-bared' out the classroom, followed by an announcement that we weren't allowed to leave as our brand new £2 million sports hall has just lost its roof and its flying over the school and grounds.
Most exciting day at school ever had, pictures tomorrow was let out half hour late.

Your not the only one. I work at a school where all students were only let out two outside doors due to the roofing problems.
