Indeed but my main question is where does postie lay his hands on £130 k ? I'm in the wrong job big time . And lets be honest how could he think he (looking like that ) had a chance with a 'woman' ( or Nigerian guy ) who looked like she/ he did ? The words out of his league spring to mind !

What a muppet !

Ps - I'm from Pompey but even I'm not that thick !

I wonder if it occurred to him that going public about it might not be the best thing for his reputation?

So, will this guy need to repay all the money that he borrowed or will it be covered by the credit card companies?

Arse shoudnt have typed that youll all be after 'her'. Still I sent her $30,000 dollars yesterday for her children who have all been orphaned . Hold on ..........

Its no wonder my post gets delivered to the wrong address sometimes.

Hopefully he won't meet anyone real and breed, as the gene pool could really do without his contribution.

What a thoroughly unpleasant thread to start with the intent to poke fun at this gentleman.

There are plenty of people who are very naive but at the same time can be thoroughly decent people, and I quote from the policeman in charge,

"This is a very sad situation, and this man has now parted with a huge sums of money through his own good nature"

This thread is akin to virtual playground bullying, and shows great cowardice as the man in question has no chance of defending himself here.

Plenty of people can be caught off guard chasing a percieved goal. Not many are as upfront as the bloke in the paper. The less "naive" tend to keep quiet when they finally found out they've been had. Who has more guts them or him?

I cant help wondering about all these Nigerian scams the country must be awash with money now.

£130k is a lot of cash, at least 13 ribs on my budget!

What a load of tosh! There is such a thing as being stupid even if you are the nicest person in the world.

Sorry there is being naive and then there is just criminally stupid. Tim - what planet do you live on? There are some people from Portsmouth that need somewhere to live due to their massive £130 k debt.

Oh & think we would all say as such to his face - I know I would if knew anyone who did this .................

We all make mistakes and are human, but rarely do we make £130k mistakes like this one.
