Bloody 'ell!
Snow in October, I'm liking my new home! Didn't get snow in the middle of winter in Oldham, but we've already had some up here in Ponterwyd!

Tis near Aberystwyth. It's a small village, though it's got all the facilities! Post office, garage, bus stop WITH shelter, and even public toilets! No expense spared here sir!
It's where I'm now living and working, nice place, nice people, amazing scenery, but it can get quite cold and it's a bit windy.

We had sunshine here today, some hail lastnight - weather's looking ok for the weekend now
Matt, how's the job going? - I take it you're not online at all much now.....
Since you're nearly half way here, you should come down here one weekend now

The job is going well. Locals are decent friendly people, residents tend to tip quite nicely and you can have a good chat with some of 'em, and there's a fair bit of decent totty in often too! Some nights are quite knackering when it's constant from about 6.30 until about 9 for taking food orders, clearing tables, keeping the log fire burning and serving drinks all at the same time, but other nights are quite relaxed.
Correct, don't get online much. I have an hour per day between 3 and 4 to use the office computer for internet, and some nights the owner's son lets me use his computer for a bit, but tuesday night is the only night I can make use of that before midnight anyway!
I shall try to visit one weekend, once it gets quiet again. Currently we're quite busy, but next month shouldn't be too bad. Heading back to Manchester for 2 days next month to see, of all things, Meat Loaf, but apart from that I've got nowt planned.

Never see snow.
Whilst on holiday just a few days ago I read about the Snow in Wales and mentioned it to the Barman who advised he'd never seen snow. Not surprising really when in the next breath he advised he's never been further than the adjacent island (80 mile away).

We didn't get snow here at all last year, which was kind of annoying - I'd love the day when we can only get into work by river
Good to hear things are going well Matt..... let me know when you're up for it - I could probably pick you up from Cardigan or something if you can get that far....
It's going to be typical, and probably sods law that the moment I take leave this week for a couple of days, it'll bring gales, and rain, so I'll leave booking until the last minute so the weather can't beat me to it

Can definately get to Cardigan. Looks like there's a bus service from Aber to Cardigan that is quite regular, we went past at least 3 each way on a trip down to New Quay earlier today. Only real issue is from here to Cardigan and back by bus is 100 miles in total, so I dread to think what the bus fare will be!
