Don't start telling me to ban people! It will only lead to tears . . .

I was a bit shocked by Paul's outburst though. Still, not as shocked as the camels were

Well done, Pete - I knew you were the reliable type. Can you give Jonny-boy-Fuller some training?

Now, Paul I reckon this serves you right for having a swanky £2½k laptop!

Anyway, I sent you the driver update stuff - didn't it help?

I spent many, many hours trying to do just this (Bluetooth <> XDA II sync.) and concluded i'll have to wait for a software update.

If anyone gets it working let me know and i'll have one very happy customer in Canterbury.

The XDA II is the first PDA to come close to my requirments and i am considering getting one, but i a very happy orange customer. I've had PDA before but get bored of carrying them after a few weeks. I've always wanted something that will:

Do in-car navigation (XDA II + TomTom BT GPS)
Be a bluetooth GPRS modem for my laptop
Be my pocket diary (run or sync with outlook/exchange)
Be my phone
Have a web browser
Have a handsfree kit like my Nokia (a proper one that mutes the radio and has an external, boosted, antenna)
Ideally it should be a Nokia, but they 'ain't pulled their finger out yet.
Run terminal services client

Tried it on a differant laptop - no problem.

It's sony's implementation of bluetooth on the other laptop.

which laptop did you try it on daniel.

http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html

fot a good tool box

and http://www.carcomm.nl/ do a hands free kit which i think mutes the radio.

Always used USB before but now it's all bluetooth so I only have to be in the house and it's set up to link whenever it can - Cool huh?
