Our boat which came unnamed is due to be renamed "The Smug Druggler" appears to be the best suggestion so far as suggested by a mate, I thought it was quite funny, not sure how well it'd go down over VHF though

Haha, yeah it might raise a few eyebrows!
I must admit, my boat "Wings" wouldn't be my choice of name, but having spent 22 years in the navy I'm a little "superstitious" about the supposed bad luck brought about by re-naming ships (boats)!

I heard of someone calling a yacht 'Business' took me a while to realise the amazing potential with this..
"sorry I cant come shopping with you that weekend as I am away on business and not sure when I will be back..."
I agree with Ovey about renaming, I wouldn't have picked Beretta - but I dint want any of the bad luck associated with name changing.

During an alcoholic evening on a fishing trip to Guernsey we renamed my mates boat after a well known brand of storm proof cigarette lighter.
Kevin's boat was duly sign written with the name "Zippo" when we got back...because it had never been known to go out in a strong wind!
