Braodband service

I have for the last 8 years received the above from BT but lately I am not having good vibes from them in that I am still paying over the odds to what new customers are getting after their promotional freebie plus I fell foul of a email bug! I was wondering and here I am appealing to the more enlightened technos amongest you as to who is offering the best deal/service at present. Taking into consideration I live 60 miles southwest of Glasgow on the Ayrshire coast with no cable but I do have Sky. I browse a bit but do not download music to any amount and have two email accounts running from it.
All reasonable suggestions welcome as I do think I am not getting value for money.

Try this site to get the details of your exchange and who provides Broadband from it...

check what speed you get. dop a speed test.
there are alot of depecdencies.
distance to yor exchange, type of exchange, latency, etc

Also depends who has their own equipment in your local exchange... as thats usually cheaper.
