I was minding my own business approaching humpback bridge when some white van man came steaming over the bridge and could not stop in time to avoid a parked car on the same side of the road as him so he thought I would drive on my side of the road using the bonnet of my beloved beemer as a ramp, narrowly missing me in the drivers seat!
Pretty full on really!

Glad you are not too badly damaged, shame I cant say the same for your car.
Wychers Gate Road, south of Rowlands I presume. I nearly collected a caravan on the back of a Tranny who had parked half way round the S bend in the background.

Damn, dude;
Glad you got out of it relatively unscathed. Looks like it could have been a lot worse.
Here's to a speedy and full recovery of your back.
(Sorry to hijack your thread, Biggles)

Is that an opposing traffic road????? Those lanes are narrow. Then take into account that hedge!!! I hope you have a speedy recovery!
It would be great to see some pics of your refurbed sr4 Biggles. It must look sharp with the new strake.

Thats not narrow. It has two lanes and a white line down the middle. Its almost a trunk road...

I hope I'm not being misinterpreted as being snobby or such but its just an observation.
I guess it also depends on what the speed limit is...

No not at all. Given the road is fairly straight and goes South East near a number of important Roman historical sites it would be fair to assume that Julias Ceasar or one of his followers built it during the 400 years the Romans were in England (before being evicted as illegal imagrants). So not bad for a road 15 centuries old, although clearly it was only designed with enough room for a couple of chariots to pass each other. What were the Americans building at that time ?

I've been lucky enough to have some work done recently on my boat by Rogue Wave at his workshop in Southampton, so I turned again to him for help. Stuart, thats his proper name, didn't let me down. Within an hour he'd fitted a small but professional looking patch and now I can get back on the water.
Any one with RIB problems wouldn't go far wrong contacting Stuart for help. His prices are keen and his service excellent. In all my recent dealings with Boat Repair yards this is the only place that made me feel welcome.
Many Thanks Stuart.
If you feel stupid (Like I did about airing my problems) then just PM Rogue wave.

Any pics of your latest repair work mate, I'd be interested to see - thanks

The picture with the White van jammed against the BMW would probably be a 60MPH speed limit

It Is !!! but we cant seem to get over 50 even down hill fully loaded.
We (white van man ) were stationary when he hit us I expect he was doing about 50 . The BMW was a total write off all the drivers side smashed door pillars and roof damaged .Worst of all his spoiler (Halfords best sub woofers and those little blue LEDs that seem so useful on the back shelf were all beyond repair too !!
